Freddie H. Nevermann
Freddie H. Nevermann, son of Fred and Minnie (Schrader) Nevermann, was born August 3, 1908 on a farm near Monona, Iowa. He died Wednesday, February 28, 1996 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Mason City, Iowa.
He was baptized September 20, 1908 by Pastor Otto Wappler, and confirmed September 22, 1922 by Pastor Albert Daugs, both at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona, Iowa.
Freddie was united in marriage to Lorene Krambeer on April 30, 1935 at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. They lived at Renwick, Iowa from 1947 to 1949. He farmed west of Monona until 1946. He was employed by Benzing Supply Service in Monona for ten years, and by Evans Hardware in Monona for 17 years, retiring in 1973.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Lorene, who died May 16, 1970, one grandson, Stuart Nevermann, three brothers, Emil, Eldo and Clarence; and one sister, Elsie Sawvell.
Survivors include one son, LeAllen Nevermann and his wife, Janelle, of Mason City, Iowa; one grandson, Brian Nevermann; nieces and nephews; a special friend, Leone Gruber of Waukon, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday March 2, 1996 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church , Monona. Pastor Terry Hudson officiated. Pall bearers were LeAllen, Brian and Eugene Nevermann; Raymond, Luverne and Kenneth Krambeer. Burial was in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home of Monona was in charge of services.
