Hilma Krambeer
Hilma Krambeer died Thursday, March 21 at the Postville Good Samaritan Center, Postville where she had been a resident since June 2, 1980.
Services were held Monday, March 25, 1991 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Monona. Rev. Elwin Farwell officiated with interment taking place in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Monona.
Hilma Harnack Krambeer, daughter of John and Ida Harnack Krambeer, was born February 3, 1894 in Allamakee County. She was baptized in April 1894 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville and confirmed March 20, 1910 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Luana. She received her education in West Grove rural school in Allamakee County.
She lived with her parents in Allamakee County and later moved to Monona. She was a clerk at Howard's General Department Store in Monona for many years.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Monona since 1917 and W. E. L. C. A. She also taught Sunday School for many years.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, John [Henry] Krambeer and three sisters , Emma [Vern] Zieman, Mathilda [Rudolph] Bugenhagen and Bertha [Charles] Ulish.
Surviving are nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Robert Kaiser, James Krambeer, Lee Allen Krambeer, Jared Krambeer, Wade Krambeer and Bernald Martins.
