CHARLES KRAMBEER

Charles Krambeer, 78, a former resident of this community died at Yankton, South Dakota, June 3. Services were held at the Schultz Funeral Home in Monona Saturday afternoon and burial was in the Luana cemetery. Rev. L. W. Reuther was in charge.

He leaves to mourn his passing, three brothers and four sisters: Henry and Ben Krambeer and Mrs. Minnie Collins of Luana; Emma, Mrs. William Rasmussen, and George Krambeer of Britt, Iowa; Ida, Mrs. Will Landt, of Medford, Minnesota and Bertha, Mrs. Harry Koth, of Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Postville Herald newspaper clipping from my mother's obituary collection.

The hand written date on this obituary is very hard to decipher but I can read 195 and the next figure, I think, is a one. Anyone that knows the correct date can contact the site administrator with that information and possibly his birth date? Going by the brothers and sisters listed he is the son of John, Sr. and Augusta (Englehardt) Krambeer.

added February 2008:
I have his birth date, it is November 17,1873 but I don`t know where he was born, he was 78 years of age in his obituary so added his age to his birth date and it comes out to be 1951, so probably that is the death date.
