ARNO LOUIS KRAMBEER

Arno Louis Krambeer, son of Louis and Cora Walter Krambeer, was born September 20, 1913, in Clayton county, Iowa.

He passed away suddenly as the result of an accident on Tuesday, October 22, 1963, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Anderson.

On September 16, 1936, Arno Krambeer was married to Helen Henkes in the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Joyce, Mrs. Richard Riggle, Morgan Hill, California, Rita, Mrs. Donald Anderson, Luana, Nancy, Mrs. Edwin Engelhardt, Postville; one son, Stanley at home; six grandchildren, Brent and Brian Anderson, Reid and Dirk Riggle, Doreen and Paul Engelhardt; three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Helen) Bollman, Monona, Mrs. Gerhardt (Ellen) Koopman, Postville, Mrs. Dale (Evelyn) Meyer, Postville; two brothers, Elmer Krambeer of Postville and Lawrence Krambeer of Decorah.

Arno Krambeer was baptized in infancy and became a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Postville on April 2, 1944.

He was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Community Presbyterian Church and director of the Farmers Telephone Company at the time of his death. He served as a deacon in the Community Presbyterian Church (1950-52). He was a member of the D. H. I. Testing Cooperative and the Farm Bureau.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a number of relatives.

Funeral services were held at the Community Presbyterian Church of Postville on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the services. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.

KRAMBEER KILLED BY FALLING TREE

Arno Krambeer, 50, Luana, was killed instantly Tuesday morning while trimming a tree on the farm of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson.

Mr. Krambeer was on a ladder sawing off a large limb of a tree to make room for a new building at the farm. He was using a chain saw. He was found by his son-in-law, Don Anderson, just after the accident happened. A doctor was summoned but he was dead within a few minutes after the accident.

Funeral services are pending at the time of publication. The body is at the Schutte Funeral Home.
