Bradley Bissell
Bradley "Brad" Bissell, 44, died Wed., Jan. 31, 2001, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI.
Funeral services were held Sat., Feb. 3, 2001, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona, under the direction of Rev. Chris Staley. Burial was in Monona City Cemetery, Monona.
Brad was born July 24, 1956, in Guttenberg, the son of John and Gale (Kurth) Bissell. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg. He graduated from MFL High School in 1974.
Brad was united in marriage to Tori Schlitter on Nov. 8, 1980, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waukon. To this union two daughters were born, Heather and Alicia. Brad was self-employed as a carpenter and had previously worked at Northern Engraving. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, was an avid outdoorsman, and a devoted family man.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bradley John; a brother, John Jr.; a nephew, Jeremy Bissell; and grandparents, Jim and Elsie Bissell and Eldon and Ella Kurth.
Survivors include his wife, Tori; daughters, Heather and Alicia; parents, John and Gale Bissell of Monona; two brothers, Jerry (Darlene) Bissell of Postville and Marty (Robin) Bissell of Monona; four sisters, Cindy (Danny) Hertrampf of Cassville, WI, Wendy (Raymond) Gress of Monona, Kristy Meier of Mechanicsville, and Mary Bissell of Monona; 16 nephews and nieces; his mother and father-in-law, Al and Rose Buege; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Shane Malanaphy, Rick Snitker, Eugene Mueller, Denny Peterson, Adam Ewing, Charlie David, Rod Stagman, Brad Welch, Dayton Jones, and Richard Hoppart.
Pallbearers were Mike Meyer, Kevin Tilson, Don Van Wey, Paul Meyer, Pat Whalen, Kurt Walch, Allen Troester, and Kent Seitz.
Schultz's Funeral Home of Monona assisted the family.
