Mrs. NALEN W. (Amanda Ellen Graybill) RICKER 1862-1973

110 YEAR OLD RESIDENT PASSES AWAY MONDAY

Garnavillo's oldest resident, Amanda Ricker, 110, passed away Mon., Jan. 22, 1973. She came to live in Garnavillo from Dubuque on April 17, 1972. She resided with her daughter, Mrs. Susan Hauschen, who also moved from Dubuque at that time.

Funeral services were held Wed., Jan. 24 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gospel Hall, Garnavillo, with Louis Brandt & Henry Wahls officiating. Burial was in Goshen Cemetery.

Amanda Ellen Ricker, daughter of Thomas Graybill and Mary Ann Welsh, was born Dec. 30, 1862 in Millville Twp. She died Jan. 22, 1973 at the age of 110.

She married Aug. 17, 1890 to Nalen W. Ricker in Goshen Church near Millville. Mr. Ricker passed away Oct. 13, 1943.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Susan Hauschen of Garnavillo, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, & six great-great-grandchildren.
