Funeral services for Esther M. Ryan, 62, were held Tuesday morning, May 31, at 9:30 o'clock at St. Patrick's church with Father Wilfred W. Schmidt officiating at the mass.
Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery.
Miss Ryan died Sunday morning, May 29, at 2:30 o'clock from a cerebral hemorrhage after a brief illness.
She was born the eldest daughter of Mrs. Teresa and the late Edward Ryan, May 16, 1893. She attended rural school in Monona township. She was a semi-invalid all of her life because of an accident in childhood, but her kind and loving disposition endeared her to her family.
She was preceded in death by her father and her youngest brother, Donald.
She is survived by her mother, four sisters, Mrs. Everett (Genevieve) Utt of Eden, Idaho, Margaret of Oyster Bay, N. Y., Mrs. Edwin (Lorena) Buman of Harlan, and Mrs. Forrest (Mary) McIntosh of Chicago, Illinois; four brothers, Dr. Allen of Harlan, Dr. Louis of Snyder, Okla., and Emmet and Edmund of Monona.
Pallbearers were Edwin Buman, Jr., Elmer Holly, Harvey Gruber, Edward Grady, Herb Wagner, and Michael Grady.
Her four brothers and her sisters with the exception of Mrs. Utt were present for the funeral services.
