Funeral Services Held at McGregor
Funeral services for Marcus J. Teeter, 51, of McGregor were held Tuesday morning, July 5, at 11 o'clock at St. Mary's church in McGregor with Father Karl Klein officiating.
Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.
Mr. Teeter died suddenly Friday night, July 1, while enroute from Monona to a Prairie du Chien hospital. He was stricken with a stroke while at work at the OK Drive-In in Monona, which the Teeters operated.
He was born May 25, 1915, in Minneapolis, Minn. He spent his early boyhood in the Granade, Minn., area. He attended Principia college at St. Louis, Mo., and the University of Minnesota. He was associated with his father, M. E. Teeter, for many years in the implement business at Fairmont, Minn.
He was married Jan. 22, 1947, to Maraguerite Fidler of Blue Earth, Minn. in 1954, they moved to McGregor where Mr. Teeter operated a feed business. For the last three years the family has operated the O.K. Drive-In at Monona.
A daughter, Vicki Gay, who died in infancy, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, one son, Charles Marcus, 18; three sisters, Mrs. Jack Dempsey of Auburn, Wash., Mrs. Wendell DeWare of Davenport, and Mrs. Kenneth Stonebach of Fairmont, Minn.; and three brothers, Earl of Paradise, Calif.; Ray of Lakefield, Minn., and Willis of Armstrong, Iowa.

McGregor, Ia. - Marcus J. Teeter, 51, of McGregor, owner and operator of a Monona, Ia., drive-in restaurant, died Friday night of an apparent heart attack at the drive-in.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, McGregor, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the Thornburg Funeral Home, McGregor, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday.
Surviving are his wife, Marguerite, and one son, Charles M., McGregor.
