Rowland Tangeman Graveside Rites
Graveside services were conducted in the Old Monona City cemetery, Monday afternoon, Aug. 9, at 2 o'clock for Rowland Tangeman, 72, formerly of Monona and for some years a resident of Omaha, Nebr., where he was employed as a watchman and service car lot operator.
Schultz's Funeral service was in charge and Rev. Fred F. Darnauer conducted the graveside services. Joseph Mista, Page Dull, Elgie Ferguson, and Gordon Schultz were pallbearers.
Mr. Tangeman was born July 13, 1899, at Danbury, Iowa, a son of Gust and Rebecca Frances, nee Rowland, Tangeman. He attended the Monona schools.
Mr. Tangeman was killed instantly in a car accident, Aug. 5.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Ray, and a sister, Mrs. Lorrence (Maude) Oelke of LaCrosse, Wis.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George (Sandra) Lahners of Lincoln, Nebr.
The body was brought to the Monona airport by plane and was accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. Lahners, and Mr. White, the pilot. They arrived around 1 o'clock and departed again after the service.
