North Iowa Times – November 23, 1870, page 3

Died – In McGregor, on the morning of the 18th of Diptheria, Hattie, Daughter of Edmund and Harriet DOUGLAS, aged 10 years and six months.

Little Hattie will be missed by many warm, devoted friends, who, in all the years of life, will remember her only as a sweet, pure and lovely child.

I have her mother's maiden name as being Curtis
