Eugene Timmerman Rites Held Here
Funeral services for Eugene Timmerman, 36, were held Saturday afternoon, June 26, at 2 o'clock at the Schultz Funeral Home in Monona with the Gospel service conducted by Henry Wahls and others of Garnavillo.
Burial was in the Monona City cemetery.
Since April 1 of this year, Mr. Timmerman was hospitalized at Iowa City and Guttenberg. He died at the Guttenburg Municipal hospital Wednesday morning, June 23, 1971.
He was born in Frankville, June 24, 1934, the son of Henry Timmerman and Alice B. Owen. He was baptized July 8, 1934, by Rev. Louis Joslin. He attended school in Postville and Monona and graduated from Monona High school in 1953. He worked at various occupations in Wisconsin and Iowa, including the raising and training of riding horses, until his health and eyesight failed.
He was married to Judith Olson, July 21, 1962, at Blue River, Wis.
Surviving are his son, Thomas of Sauk City, Wis.; his father, Henry Timmerman of Marquette; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Vince Holly of Monona; one half brother, Milton Franck of Hazlet, N. J.; one half sister, Mrs. Forest (Evelyn) Kelly of Postville; seven nieces, and four nephews.
