Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. September 18 at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg, IA with interment in the Giard Cemetery, rural Giard, IA. Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, IA, in charge of arrangements.
Mabel Marie Miller, 101, Farmersburg, Iowa, died Friday, September 14, 2007, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse, WI, following a brief illness. Mabel was born on December 14, 1905, on a farm in Garnavillo Township to Theodore and Alma (Herchart) Siege. She graduated from Guttenberg High School.
She was united in marriage to Lawrence Miller and one son, Duane, was born to this union. Mabel worked at the McGregor Drug and Gift Store for many years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and was a long standing member of St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Gail Larkin, Millersville, MD and Melissa King, Annapolis, MD and four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Angela Larkin, Tyler Larkin, Christopher King and Jason King.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Duane and Alice Miller and one sister, Burnette Hansel.
