Lora L. Ihlenfeldt

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. September 12 at Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, IA with interment in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Clayton Center, IA. Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, IA,in charge of arrangements.

Lora L. Ihlenfeldt, 94, of Farmersburg, died Sunday, September 9, 2007, at the Great River Care Center, McGregor, IA, following a brief illness. She was born October 9, 1912, in rural Clayton County, to William Carl and Ella (Heuer) Ihlenfeldt. Lora graduated from Farmersburg High School.

Lora farmed for many years. She was a long-time member of St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg. Lora loved flowers and working in her garden and lawn. There was never a weed in sight!

Survivors include one sister, Ina Radloff, Anoka, MN; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Ihlenfeldt, Waterloo, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Lawrence Ihlenfeldt, Irvin Ihlenfeldt and Willis Ihlenfeldt.
