Wilson Barnhart services April 10, 1991 - Wilson C. Barnhart 77, of Guttenberg, formerly of the Colesburg and Manchester area, died Sunday, April 7, 1991 at Finley Hospital, Dubuque.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home and will be conducted by the Rev. Rhonda Schultz. Burial will be in Guttenberg City Cemetery with the following pallbearers: Don Groth, Douglas Palmer, Tom Troester, Robert Brown, Russell Brown Jr. and George Groth.Mr. Barnhart was born in rural Guttenberg Dec. 28, 1913, a son of Clyde and Elizabeth (Groth) Barnhart. He graduated from Colesburg High School in 1933. He was married Feb. 27, 1937 at Colesburg to Letha Mae Brown, who died Dec. 28, 1989. He farmed in the Colesburg area until 1956, then moved to Manchester and worked at Palmer Hardware for 21 years. He lived in Guttenberg Since around 1978.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Louise) Kregel of Guttenberg; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; one sister Arleen Troester of Colesburg; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and brothers, Kenneth and Chester.
