Mrs. Rose Newhouse Taken by Death on the Coast

Funeral services were held in San Francisco, California, for Mrs. Rose Newhouse former Guttenberg resident. Mrs. Newhouse died September 8, and the services were held from the Gantner, Felder, Kenny chapel with burial in Woodlawn memorial Park.

Mrs. Newhouse was born Sept 30, 1901 at Gray, Iowa the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Tuecke. At the age of eight months she was brought to Guttenberg and made her home with her aunt and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. L.H. Beerman.

She attended Guttenberg high school and St. John’s Lutheran church in Guttenberg. On April 15, 1920 she was married to Burnell Newhouse at Rockford, Illinois.

Mrs. Newhouse is survived by her husband and two children, Beverly Jeane and Richard LeRoy of 5050 Fulton street, San Francisco; a sister Mrs. Christ Niemiller of Mobridge, South Dakota; a brother Edwin and her mother of Elkader.
