Hilda Aulerich
Hilda Aulerich died Monday, June 25, 1990, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 28, 1990, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona. Pastor Harold O. Ward officiated. Organist was Florence Evans. Burial was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Schultz's Funeral Home was in charge of services.
Hilda M. DeSotel Aulerich was born May 1, 1906, near Millville, Iowa to parents Joseph and Emma Timm DeSotel. She was baptized June 17, 1906 and confirmed April 13, 1939 in the Lutheran faith in Guttenberg, Iowa. She received her education in Jolly Ridge country school, rural Millville.
On April 14, 1926 she married Harold G. Aulerich at St. Paul Lutheran in Monona. They had one daughter. The couple farmed near Monona until retiring in 1967.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Harold, who died Jan. 6, 1988, and 3 brothers, Charles, Emil and Otto.
Surviving is one daughter, Mardella Suddendorf of Monona; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one sister, Marie Jaster of Ossian.

Hilda and Harold moved into their home in Monona, Iowa in 1967. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monona and Peace Circle. She enjoyed flowers and needlework.
Additional survivors were 3 grandchildren, Lonny Suddendorf, Larry Suddendorf and Judy Suddendorf and 3 great-grandchildren, Ashley Suddendorf, Whitney Suddendorf, and Brody Suddendorf.
Active pallbearers were Larry Suddendorf, Raymond De Sotel, Gordon De Sotel, Wayne De Sotel, Jason Ferguson, and Brent Bruns. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Wirkler, Gordon Reinke, Ronald D. Mueller, Otmar Bruns, Robert Trappe, and Palmer Brownson.
