Funeral services for Harlan Carl Wilke were held Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2 p.m. at Garden City United Methodist Church, Monona. Rev. Marlon Bloodworth officiated. Burial was in the Luana City Cemetery, Luana. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona was in charge of arrangements.
Harlan Wilke was born March 14, 1911, in Ridley, Iowa, to parents William and Bertha Nevermann Wilke. He died at his home in Monona Sunday, February 14, 1988.
He received his education in Luana School. On August 7, 1965 he married Arzella Stansberry in Decorah. He worked for Carlson Construction Company in Decorah for 25 years. He did concrete work and road paving until retiring. He was a member of Garden City United Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Marcella Backhaus and Mardella Wilke.
Surviving is his wife, Arzella; one son, James of Volney; one brother; Wilson Wilke of Postville and one sister, Pearl Timmerman of Monona.
