Prideaux - Dougherty marriage - 1955

The marriage of Miss Jeanette Dougherty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. V. Dougherty of Elkader, and Thomas Prideaux, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Prideaux of Volga, took place Saturday at St. Joseph's church, Elkader. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Daniel Gorman, pastor, officiated. The couple was attended by the bride's twin sister, Mrs. Adolph Hanson, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, and her brother, Jerry Dougherty of Oelwein. Kenneth Smith of Center Junction was an usher.

The bride was graduated from St. Joseph's school in Elkader and is employed in Cedar Rapids. The groom is a Volga high school graduate and is employed in Cedar Rapids, where they will make their home.
