Schmidt - Fett marriage - 1953

MONONA: At Pilgrim Evangelical United Brethren church in Monona, Sept. 29, occurred the marriage of Miss Marjorie Fett, daughter of Mrs. Art Ricker of Maquoketa, and Robert Schmidt, son of Mrs. Arno Schmidt of Monona. The Rev. A. W. Ebert, pastor, officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Denny Fett. Miss Bonnie Wilkins of Monona, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Don Schmidt of Monona, brother of the groom, served as best man, and Dale Schmidt of Beaver Dam, Wis., brother of the groom, and Don Pettit of Mcgregor, cousin of the bride, were ushers.

At the reception for 150 guests in the church parlors, Mrs. Gordon DeSotel, sister of the bride, cut the cake.

The bride is a graduate of the Monona high school and has been employed at the Beatty Stores in Maquoketa. Mr. Schmidt, a graduate of the Monona high school, is engaged in farming.
