Geuder - Peake marriage - 1945

A very pretty wedding was solemnized at Saint John's Lutheran church in Guttenberg Tuesday when Miss Irene Peake, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Peake of Garnavillo, became the bride of Merlin Geuder, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Geuder of Elkader. They were attended by Lois Peake, sister of the bride, and Donald Geuder, brother of the groom.

Mrs. Geuder is a graduate of the Elkader High school and attended Summer school at Fayette. For the past year she has been teaching in the rural schools of the county. The groom attended the Guttenberg high school and is now employed on the farm of his uncle near Guttenberg. The new home will be made near Guttenberg.
