MCGREGOR: At a candlelight ceremony Saturday in her home, Betty Jeanne Eichendorf, daughter of the late Judge W. L. Eichendorf and Mrs. Ruth Eichendorf, became the bride of Lt. Edwin Van der Wall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Van der Wall of New Era, Mich. The Rev. Paxton Smith officiated. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Walter Bergman of Austin, Minn. Best man was the groom's brother, Howard Van der Wall of New Era, Mich., who also sang two selections after the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Mich., the new couple will be at home in Marshalltown, where the groom is stationed as an inspector of food supplies for the armed forces at the Mashall Caning company.
The bride received her early education in the McGregor schools and completed her high school work at Jennings Seminary in Aurora, Ill. For the past two years she has attended Carlton college at Northfield, Minn. The groom is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
