Glab - Burke marriage - 1944

STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Kathleen Burke, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burke, and Joseph Glab, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Glab of Dubuque, were married Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic church. Father P. J. Boyle officiated. Miss Mary Glab and Vincent Burke, brother and sister of the bride and groom were the attendants.

The bride is a graduate of the Strawberry Point high school and attended Iowa State Teachers college. For the past two and one-half years she has taught in the rural schools near here, where she will continue to teach until Christmas. Mr. Glab is a graduate of the Guttenberg parochial school, and was in service for two and one-half years, after which he was given a medical discharge. He served both in the states and over- seas. At present he is employed by the Western Auto company in and around Des Moines.

The couple will live in Des Moines after Jan. 01.
