Elliot - Fredrick marriage - 1944

STRAWBERRY POINT: Saturday, Dec. 16, Miss Evelyn Fredrick and Sgt. Judson Elliot were married at Emmanuel's Lutheran church Strawberry Point. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fredrick of Strawberry Point and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Elliot of Upton, Mo. The ceremony was read by Rev. L. A. Stumme.

The groom's sister, Miss Ila Elliot of Kansas City, served as maid of honor; bridesmaids were Miss Dorothy Fredrick and Miss Lillian Birrer, both of Strawberry Point. The bride's brother, Walter Fredrick, Jr., of Farmersburg, served as best man. Ushers were Wilbur Nading, cousin of the bridegroom and Allen Falck. Mrs. Walter Fredrick, Jr. sang three selections.

Mrs. Elliot, a graduate of Strawberry Point high school, attended Wartburg college and was formerly a rural school teacher. At present she is employed as a clerk in the U.S. Post office of Strawberry Point. The groom is a graduate of Mountain Grove high school, Mountain Grove, Mo., and has been in the army the past three years. He just returned from New Guinea where he was stationed with the Army Signal Corps.

Following the honeymoon, the groom will report to Hot Springs, Ark., for re-assignment.
