Harbaugh - Boland marriage - 1943

Miss Regina Boland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Boland of Elkader, became the bride of Ernest Harbaugh of Edgewood, Monday, at St. Joseph's church. The Right Rev. Msgr. J. P. Taken officiated, with Francis Quinn and Richard Boland as Mass servers. Bridesmaid was Mrs. Robert Palmer, sister of the groom, and the groom's attendant was Pvt. Raymond Boland, brother of the bride.

Mrs. Harbaugh is a graduate of St. Joseph's high school and also the Iowa School of Beauty and Cosmetology, at Des Moines. Mr. Harbaugh attended the Edgewood school. The new couple will make their home on a farm twelve miles north of Elkader.

Out of town guests were: Pvt. Raymond E. Boland of McLean, Texas; Miss Delores M. Boland, R.N., of Dowagiac, Mich.; Corp. Robert Donlon of Alaska; Jeff Harbaugh of Garber; Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Harbaugh, Keith, Ivan and Bobby, of Edgewood; Mrs. Mary Donlon, Mrs. Thomas Donlon and Mary of Decorah; Mr. and Mrs. Leon Harbaugh of Garber; Miss Evelyn Pesek of Cedar Rapids; and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Palmer, of Oelwein.
