Bries - Berns marriage - 1943

GARNAVILLO: Miss Rosemary Berns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Berns, became the bride of T-5 Cpl. Clarence M. Bries of Fort Custer, Mich., at a military wedding held at St. Joseph's church, Tuesday, Sept. 14. The Rev. H. Sharphoff, pastor, officiated. The date also being the birthday of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lucille and Catherine Berns, sisters of the bride. Pfc. Joe Bries of Louisiana, brother of the groom, was best man, and Sgt. Alois Schulte of Fort Custer, Mich., cousin of the bride, was usher.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Bries of Luxemburg. He and his bride will make their home in Battle Creek, Mich.
