The wedding of Miss Geraldean Harnack and Merlin A. Kuehl took place Saturday in the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader, the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Miss Harnack is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Harnack of Mederville and Mr. Kuehl is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Kuehl, Elkader. Gene Kuehl, brother of the groom sang several selections. Howard Kuehl served his cousin as best man. Ushers were John Maehl, Jr., cousin of the bride, and Jerry Stence, cousin of the groom.
Mrs. Kuehl is a graduate of the Elkader high school and Elkader junior college, following which she was employed at the Louis Motor Supply Company in Waterloo. Mr. Kuehl on completion of his education assisted his parents on the farm until he entered the service, serving eighteen months, eight of which were spent in Manila.
The new couple will make their home on the farm of the groom's parents, seven miles south of Elkader.
