Miss Dorothy Marie Beyer and Gerald Joseph Beck were married at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church Thursday, Nov. 20. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Miss Gwendolyn Beck sang two selections, and Miss Elizabeth Thurn, Edgewood, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Ruth Beck, Edgewood and Miss Gwendolyn Beck, Elkader, sister and cousin of the groom (were bridesmaids). Robert Fishel, Edgewood, served his cousin as best man. Ushers were Leo Koehn, St. Olaf, cousin of the bride, and Don Wilke, Elkader.
Mrs. Sophia Hochhaus, grandmother of the groom was present for the ceremony.
After completing her schooling Mrs. Beck remained at home to help her parents. Mr. Beck is a graduate of the littleport high school and a veteran of one and a half year's service. Since his discharge he has been helping his parents on their farm near Edgewood where the new home will be made.
