Miss Mary Kathryn McGee, daughter of Mrs. Mayme McGee, Elkader, and Kenneth B. Carnes, Elkader, were married Saturday, August 02, at St. Joseph's church, the Rev. Bernard Skahill officiating. Attending the couple were Mrs. William McTaggart and John McGee. Ushers were Dr. Robert Hyde and Vincent Stence.

Out of town guests included: Mr. and Mrs. John Carnes, Perry; Mrs. John Bender and Michael, Des Moines; Mrs. Norman Crable and Susan, Jamaica; John McGee, Milwaukee, Wis.; Dr. Robert Hyde, Knoxville; Misses Mayme and Nell Duggan, Waukon; and Mr. and Mrs. Joe McTaggart and family, Strawberry Point.
