O'Brien - Krogman marriage - 1947

Miss LaMae Krogman and Duane F. O'Brien were married at St. Mary's church in Guttenberg Wednesday, July 30, with the Rev. Joseph A. Dupont officiating. The Bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Krogman, Guttenberg, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Frank L. O'Brien of Volga. Miss Charlotte Krogman, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and Richard Weber, cousin of the bride, served as best man.

The bride is a graduate of St. Mary's high school, Guttenberg, and attended Iowa State Teachers' college at Cedar Falls. For the past two years she taught in the Tenney rural school near Volga. Mr. O'Brien is a graduate of the Volga City high school and farms his mother's farm south of Volga, where they will establish their home.

Guests at the wedding included: Mrs. F. L. O'Brien, daughter Mary, Mr. and Mrs. A. V. O'Brien, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Blanche White, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Boenish.
