Miss Joyce Bernhard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Bernhard of McGregor, became the bride of Darrell E. Hedemann, son of Mrs. Alice Hedemann of Garnavillo, Saturday, June 28, at the Giard Methodist church. The Rev. Robert Butler, pastor, officiated. Mrs. Arthur Moellering, Jr., a sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Miss Mardelle Hedemann sister of the groom, and Miss Mary Ann Larson, friend of the bride, served as bridesmaids. Little Lou Clair Moellering, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Grover Hedemann served his brother as best man. Ushers were Arthur Moellering, Jr., brother-in-law of the bride, and Charles Palmer, cousin of the groom.

Mrs. Hedemann is a graduate of Monona high school and attended Coe college, Cedar Rapids. Mr. Hedemann is a graduate of Garnavillo high school and spent one year in the service in Alaska. They will make their home on the farm of the bride's parents near Giard.
