Leeman - Peterson marriage - 1947

In Trinity Lutheran church in Guttenberg, Thursday, June 26, Miss Frances Elaine Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Peterson of Guttenberg, became the bride of Robert Bruce Leeman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell K. Leeman of Lynwood, Calif. The Rev. Theo. Frase performed the ceremony. The bride was attended by Mrs. Russell Leeman, cousin of the bride, and Misses Eileen Buckman and Ruth Eshbaugh were the bridesmaids. Russell Leeman, brother of the groom, served as best man while Paul Peterson, brother of the bride, and Norman Peterson, cousin of the bride, were groomsmen and also served as ushers. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Younger of California, uncle and aunt of the groom were present.

The bride is a graduate of the Guttenberg high school and for the past year has been teaching in the St. Olaf school. The groom is a graduate of Compton high school and has served three years in the United States Navy. For the past year he has been employed at the Ford and Chevrolet garages in Guttenberg.

The couple plan to make their new home in California.
