In the Congregational Christian church at Elkader, Sunday, June 01, Jean E. Turner, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter C. Turner, became the bride of Kenneth D. Gossman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Gossman of Elkader. The Rev. Herbert G. Kelly officiated.

George Witte, John Johansen, Edward Daniels and Robert Larson were the ushers. Mrs. Hubert Largent, Zion, Ill., was matron of honor, and Mrs. James Duffeld, West Union, was bridesmaid. Robert Turner, cousin of the bride, served as best man.

The bride's gown of Japanese silk, was secured by the groom while serving with the navy in the Orient, and was made by the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Lundt.

A reception for 200 guests was held in the Friendship Hall following the ceremony. Miss Ella Crowe, great aunt of the bride, served the cake.

Mrs. Gossman is a graduate of the Elkader high school and junior college and has since been employed in the office of the Soil Conservation Service. Mr. Gossman is also a graduate of the Elkader high school. Following his graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. The past year he attended Elkader junior college and is now employed at the Len Ha-Ha Dairy.

The new couple will make their home with the bride's parents until the new home which they are building on the East Side is completed.
