Sexton - Hennessy marriage - 1947

STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Coletta Anne Hennessy, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hennessy of Strawberry Point, and John L. Sexton of Waterloo, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Sexton of Oelwein, exchanged marriage vows Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic church, with Rev. J. P. Fagan officiating. The bride's sister, Miss Mary Hennessy of Iowa City, served as maid of honor, and the groom's brother, Robert Sexton of Oelwein, was best man. The bride's brother, John Edward Hennessy of Iowa City, served as usher.

Mrs. Sexton has for the past six years been postal clerk in the Strawberry Point post office. Mr. Sexton is employed by the John Deere Tractor Co. in Waterloo, where the couple will be at home after June 10 at 310 Bertch avenue.
