Miss Maxine M. Rauch, daughter of Mrs. Mary Rauch of Marion, Iowa, became the bride of George T. Boland, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Boland of Elkader, Iowa, at St. Joseph's church, Monday, May 26th. The Very Rev. B. H. Skahill, Ph.D., officiated. Mrs. Ernest Harbaugh, a sister of the groom, was the matron of honor and Mrs. Ramond Boland was bridesmaid. Raymond Boland served his brother as best man, and Ernest Harbaugh, a brother-in-law of the groom was the other attendant.
The bride attended the Marion high school and has since been employed with the Killian Co. in Cedar Rapids. The groom attended St. Joseph high school in Elkader. He served 18 months with the U,S. Navy and was at Guam and Hawaii. He received his discharge as a Seaman first class in July 1946 and is now employed with the Iowa Manufacturing Co. in Cedar Rapids, where the new couple will reside.
