DeBuck - Berns marriage - 1947

Miss Irene Berns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Berns of Garber, and Kenneth DeBuck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond DeBuck of Chicago, were married Saturday in St. Michael's Catholic church, Garber, with the Rev. F. J. McEnany officiating. Miss Arlene DeBuck, sister of the groom, was maid of honor, and Miss Betty McEvoy, friend of the couple and Misses Anita and Tusina Haas, cousins of bride, were bridesmaids. Miss Janice Kunzman, niece of the bride, was Junior bridesmaid. L'Dean Berns, a nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Lester Berns, brother of the bride, was best man. Mrs. Marvin Berns played the wedding march and played and sang the hymns during mass. George Kriebs and Gregor Gerner, cousins of the bride, were ushers. Francis Weber and Lavern Haas were mass servers.

The groom is a graduate of Oak Park school of Chicago. He spent four years in service, with 30 months in the A.P.T.O., and is now employed in Chicago.
