Roach - Leete marriage - 1947

ROACH, LEETE, KONZE

The marriage of Miss Velma E. Leete and Luverne J. Roach took place Tuesday at St. Joseph's rectory, Elkader. The Rev. Father Bernard Skahill, pastor, officiated. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Wolf, friends of the couple. The bride, a graduate of the Volga high school, is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Leete of Volga, and at present she is employed at Kohls Cash store. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Roach of Elkader, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was discharged a few months ago. After the ceremony the bridal party and immediate relatives were guests at a wedding dinner at the home of Mrs. Flossie Konze, sister of the bride. The new couple will travel to Wadena, Minn., to visit the bride's brother, Ted Leete, and family.
