OSTERDOCK: A very pretty June wedding took place at St. Paul's Lutheran church at Guttenberg, Iowa, Saturday, June 29, when Miss Lucille Larson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Larson of Osterdock, became the bride of Howard Hockett of Garnavillo, Iowa, son of Mrs. Bertha Hockett of Manitowac, Wis. Rev. Coovert of St. Paul's church officiated. The bride's dress and veil were designed and made by her aunt, Leona Hultgren. Ruth Leonard, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Miss Bernice Hockett of Manitowac, Wis., sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by a friend, Paul Lincoln, of Cedar Rapids. Lois Gilbert and Helen Ohland of Grinnell, Iowa, nieces of the groom were flower girls. Ring bearer was Glenn Larson, brother of the bride. Donald Leonard of Garnavillo, and John Ohland of Malcom, were ushers. Mrs. Hockett is a graduate of Guttenberg high school and taught school for several years in the rural schools of Clayton county. Mr. Hockett is a graduate of Grinnell school and also attended Iowa State college at Ames. He is now employed as supervisor for the Garnavillo D.H.I. Association. The new couple will make their home with the bride's parents at the present time.
