The marriage of Arrah Lavon Tieden and Clarence Polkow occurred at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Tieden, Thursday, June 27th. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. Kitterer of the Evangelical church. Bridesmaid was Selma Polkow, sister of the groom, while Dale Tieden, brother of the bride, attended the groom. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Tieden and is a graduate of the Elkader high school and junior college. She has taught in the rural schools the past three years. The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Polkow of Read township and has assisted his father on the farm. The new couple will be at home on the groom's father's farm.
