VOLGA CITY: The marriage of Miss Waneta Hicks of Strawberry Point, daughter of Mrs. Hicks of Arlington, and William Friedrich, Volga City, son of Mrs. G. Friedrich of Elgin, was solemnized at the Lutheran parsonage in Elkader Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev. Kitterer performed the ceremony. The bride has had employment in the J. C. Flenniken home at Strawberry Point for some time. The groom is in partnership with his brother Arthur in farming and at present are tenanting the Kottman farm south of town where the new home will be made.

Miss Waneta Hicks of Strawberry Point, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Giles Hicks of Arlington and William Friederich of Volga, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gottfried Friederich of Elgin, were married Tuesday at the Lutheran parsonage in Elkader. The Rev. P. Kitterer performed the ceremony. The couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. William Lerch of Elgin. The home will be made on a farm near Volga.
