On Saturday, June 20, in the Frank Oldfather home, occurred the wedding of Vera Leone to Howard Victor Rahmiller. The brides sister, Ethel, was bridesmaid, while Joe Fenchel was best man. The brides tiny sister, Jean Louise, and little brother, Keith LaVerne, scattered flowers in their path. The brides aunt, Lena Oldfather, supplied the flowers for the occasion. Rev. A. B. Chamberlin, pastor of the Methodist church, performed the ceremony. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Oldfather, and has always lived in this vicinity. She is a graduate of Volga high school in 1929, then attended Upper Iowa University three years, where she received a gold medal for excellent scholarship. She has taught in the community three years. The groom is the only son of the late Frederick and Loretto Rahmiller of Columbus Junction, Iowa. He is a graduate of his home city school. The occasion was a three-fold happy one, as it was also the 85th birthday of the aged grandmother, Mrs. Wilbur, and the 24th wedding anniversary of the bride's parents. After a brief honeymoon the happy couple will be at home in Volga City.
