MARRIED - At New Portage, Ohio on Thursday, Dec. 15yh, by Rev. Mr. Stubbs, of Akron, Mr. Homer E. Newell, of McGregor, Iowa, to Miss Annie E. Howe, of Norton, formerly of Akron.

From the above notice it will be seen that our guess of last week relative to Homer's absence was a good one. Believing that marriage is the proper condition of human beings, we always take pleasure in recording a union; particularly is this the case where young men like Newell, well situated and highly respected, as most of our McGregor bachelors are, has the spirit to travel five hundred miles to add grace to the [illegible word] of his adopted city. For the kind remembrance of the Times office, by our young friends, they have our wishes for a large amount of happiness.
