MARRIED - On Thursday evening, at McGregor, by Rev. H.A. McArthur, Pastor of the Congregational Church, Mr. Augustus French to Miss Marie A., daughter of Hon. David Hammer, all of McGregor.

We had the pleasure of witnessing this union, and cannot forbear complimenting the Reverend gentleman for the faultless style which characterized the ceremony.

Augustus and lady took the cars for the East on the morning after the bridal ceremony, and we trust they may enjoy themselves on the tour.

In this compromise made by Love between the representatives of the Republican and Democratic organizations we may reasonably anticipate the formation of a third party sacred to the union.
