EMERY, PARKER

MARRIED - On Thursday, Dec. 15th, at Monona, by Rev. James Stout, Mr. Horace Emery to Miss Susan Parker, daughter of James Parker, Esq., of Monona.

With the above notice came the card of our united friends, and a basket-full of most beautiful cake made by the hands of the bride. We return a world of thanks for the kind remembrance of our valued friends and with them all the happiness which falls to the lot of mortals.

Horace was elected in October as Superintendent of Schools for Clayton county, and we suppose he did not feel qualified to discharge the duties of his position without placing himself in the line of life which leads, usually, to the care of children. May he be abundantly qualified!
