Shaffer - Kaiser marriage - 1934

Sunday afternoon, June 10th, in St. Paul's church at Garnavillo, Miss Lois Kaiser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Kaiser of Garnavillo, became the bride of Dr. Frank Shaffer of Salina, Kansas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shaffer of Jefferson, Iowa. The bridal couple were unattended. Rev. M. J. Harder officiated. The bride is a graduate of Garnavillo High school and attended Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls, Iowa State college at Ames, and Drake University at Des Moines. For the past three years she has been engaged as intermediate teacher in the Garnavillo school. previously having taught at LeClaire, Iowa. The groom is a graduate of the Des Moines College of Osteopathy and for two years was engaged in intern work at Wichita, Kansas. He now practices at Salina, Kans., where the newlyweds will make their home.
