Miss Lela Blanche Brennecke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brennecke of Marshalltown, and Earl B. Becker, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Becker of this place, were united in marriage Tuesday, June 26th, in the "Little Brown Church in the Vale" at Nashua, with Rev. J. L. McCorison, pastor, officiating. They were attended by Mrs. Harold Klepfer, of Cedar Falls, friend of the bride, and Len Brennecke, brother of the bride. Those in attendance were: Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Becker and daughter Katherine, Miss Caroline Becker and Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Lemka. The newlyweds departed for a honeymoon trip through the Dells of Wisconsin, after which they will return to Elkader, where they will be at home after July 10th. The bride is favorably known here, having been a member of the Elkader Public School faculty for a number of years. The groom was born and raised in Elkader and is at present successfully engaged in the clothing and men's furnishing business here. The couple will go to housekeeping in the Lamm house on the east side.
