The parsonage of St. Paul's United Lutheran Church was the scene of a petty wedding last Saturday afternoon. The principal characters of the party were Mr. Anton Troester of Osterdock, Iowa, and Miss Katherine Engler of Clayton.
They were married quietly at one o'clock sharp, Rev. L. H. Putz performing the ceremony. The groom chose as his best man, a brother, Harold Troester, and the bride was attended by her sister, Miss Myrtle Engler.
After the ceremony, which was witnessed by twenty-five persons of the immediate family, relatives of both the bride and the groom, they proceeded to the studio for a photograph and later boarded the south bound train for a brief wedding trip. Upon their return they will make their home on a farm located about three miles south of Osterdock. The groom has furnished an attractive home for his bride and they will begin life together as prosperous and favorably known citizens in their own community.
The wedding dinner took place at the bride's home after the couple returned from their trip.
We wish them a long and happy life.
