Marting - Laufer marriage - 1926

Last Thursday, February 25, 1926, at two o'clock p.m. at McGregor, occurred the marriage of Miss Rachel Laufer of McGregor to Mr. Milton Marting of Luana. Rev. J. franklin, parson, officiating. They were attended by Miss Amy McMillin, and Mr. Donald Stoeffer, both of McGregor.

Miss Laufer is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Laufer, now of Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Mr. Marting is the fourth oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marting of Luana. Miss Laufer has lived in and near McGregor for the last four years and her splendid character and kind ways have won for her a host of friends. Mr. Marting is a prosperous farmer and a young man held in high esteem by all who know him. They left for Des Moines and the Atlantic on their honeymoon, and will be at home on his father's farm after April 5th. The Register joins with a host of friends in wishing them a long and happy wedded life.
