Married - At St. Mary's Church, in Guttenberg, May __, 1878, by Rev. ___________, Mr. Fred Kann to Miss Dena Barns, all of Jefferson township.

This occasion called together a large number of personal friends of the young people. The bridegroom is a general favorite, a son of Wm. Kann, and the bride is loved and respected by all who know her, the daughter of Henry _______. A reception was given immediately after the ceremony at the residence of Father ____. The Garnavillo ____ band was there to furnish the ____ ____ music, and a lively, interesting and enjoyable time was had. A grand feast was afforded the guests present; the tables being fairly loaded with good things. Altogether the occasion was one long to be remembered. The young couple have the best wishes of a host of friends for a long, happy and prosperous life.
