Melander - Bemer, marriage 1872

Married by Wm. F. Rarkin, Esq., and at his residence in Lodomillo Township, on the 14th day of January, A.D., 1871, Mr. Henry Melander, to Mrs. Mary W. Bemer, all of the former place.

Clayton County Journal: January 17, 1872

Note: Researchers should check the actual date of this marriage, 1871 or 1872. More than likely it was a typo in the announcement due to the recent change in the year from 1871 to 1872; a mistake often seen in records occurring in January of a new year. It is unlikely that this marriage was not announced in the newspaper for a year.
