Kraus - Farrell marriage - 1935

The marriage of Miss Mildred M. Farrell to Serenus F. Kraus was solemnized at a 7 o'clock nuptial mass in Sacred Heart church here Monday morning, July 7th. The Pastor, Rev. D. P. Cregan, performed the ceremony. The bridal couple was attended by Miss Mae Farrell, sister of the bride, and Jerome Kraus, brother of the bridegroom.

The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edd Farrell. She attended the rural schools near here and was a graduate of St. Joseph's high school at Elkader with the class of 1932. The groom is the second youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kraus. He graduated from the local high school in the year of 1930. Of late he has been employed here by Ryan Construction Co.

Immediately following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served in the home of the groom's parents to the immediate relatives and friends. The new home will be made here.
